Juggernaut Books was set up by publishing veteran Chiki Sarkar. Our vision was to create a publishing company that was nimble, cutting-edge, bold and independent, one which was known for its intelligence, its bestselling list of books, dynamic marketing, its honest and quick communication to their writers, and its fabulous ideas. At the heart of our enterprise lies a passion for books and reading. We think about books and our writers 24/7, and we also think about how to make India into a country of readers.

From the first year, when we launched a tiny list of books, we became known as a house of hits, making books that people really wanted to read. Our early successes included Rujuta Diwekar’s Indian Superfoods, William Dalrymple and Anita Anand’s Kohinoor and Rajat Gupta’s Mind Without Fear. In 2020, we started our award-winning children’s list which boasts writers such as William Dalrymple, Tony Joseph and Esther Duflo. 

Today, we are known as one of the country’s top non-fiction publishing companies, with many prize-winning books, boasting some of the country’s finest editors and publishing some of the country’s most brilliant voices. We are also known in the industry for our innovative and out-of-the box marketing campaigns.
