Author Bios:
Muneer Niazi (1922–2006), born in Hoshiarpur district on the Indian side of Punjab, was one of Pakistan’s greatest poets and songwriters. He was the recipient of the Pride of Performance Award in 1992 and the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) Award in 2005. He died in Lahore.
Amitabha Bagchi is a novelist. His most recently published novel, Half the Night is Gone, won the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature in 2019. This is his first significant work of translation.
